This tutorial is for customers using our Owned Editions only.
Customers using our Cloud Edition do not use these instructions as we handle the upgrade for you on our cloud.
Step 1. Create a new MySQL database (naming it idevaffiliate is fine). This is typically done at the command line or via a web hosting control panel if your web hosting service provides one.
Step 2. Create a folder in your document root that will be used as your affiliate program location.
- We highly recommend installing into a top level directory such as: idevaffiliate
- Example: public_html/idevaffiliate or http/idevaffiliate (each server looks different).
Step 3. Using your favorite FTP program, upload the install folder and idevaffiliate.zip file into your newly created folder from step #2 above.
Use AUTO-DETECT mode when uploading files.
Step 4. From your web browser, run the install program.
http://www.{your website domain}.com/idevaffiliate/install/index.php
Be sure to adjust the above path to match your actual location of iDevAffiliate. You should now see a page that looks like this in your browser:
